Today Good Friday we celebrate the passion and death of Jesus on the cross.  Jesus chose to bear our burdens and give his life that we might live; live life to the full on this earth and new life in eternity.

If you can, please keep this a sacred day and try to attend one of the ceremonies.

Ecumenical Prayer and Pilgrimage:– Ecumenical Prayer and Pilgrimage: St. David’s Church of Ireland, Main Street for prayers at 8.00pm; then walk to Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballycane for ‘Prayer around the Cross’ Service at 9.00pm.

The Easter Collection for the support of the priests of the parish will take place at all Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday Masses.

PUNCHESTOWN: The Sunrise Liturgy in Punchestown will take place at 6.40am.
