Right Reverend Robert (Roy) Warke

It is with sadness, that we learned on Tuesday last of the death of Bishop Roy, retired C.O.I Bishop residing here in Naas. During our first Parish Novena in 2017, we had the pleasure of welcoming Roy to preach at our Novena. A man of gentle disposition, with a warm and engaging personality, his deep faith and insight obvious. Appreciated locally and especially amongst the Church of Ireland community, and ecumenically by ourselves here in Our Lady and St Davids. Roy’s death is a poignant passing, given that he was predeceased by his wife Eileen on Christmas Eve. A double sorrow for their daughters; Jane and Ruth. They are in our thoughts and prayers. On behalf of the Parish Team and the parishioners of Naas, Sallins and Two Mile House, we extend our deepest sympathies to his family and to Rev. Philip and the local C.O.I community here in Naas.
