The Pastoral Area of Naas, Sallins, Two Mile House and Kill

Published on August 31, 2023

We have previously informed parishioners about the Diocesan Meeting in Ballycane on 26th June. The report outlined a single new cluster comprising Naas, Sallins, Two Mile House and Kill. In the report, we highlighted areas of possible co-operation between our parishes. Perhaps the standout headline was the announcement of a new schedule of Masses for our Pastoral Area. The new schedule will take effect from the first weekend in October 2023. We are not just thinking of the present! We are planning for the future.

In his Pastoral Letter of 5th of September 2022, Bishop Denis invited the newly created parish clusters “to reflect together on a sustainable local Mass schedule so that now and into the future we could readily accommodate both the planned or unplanned absence of a priest.”
As we publish our new Mass Schedule, I want to thank our three Parish Pastoral Councils for their cooperation and leadership. I can confidently say that the new schedule is the result and fruit of a collective effort of discerning together. Thank you also to you, the parishioners of Naas, Sallins and Two Mile House for your understanding and encouragement, and for your willingness to co-operate with these changes.

For the Attention of those who participate in the 7.30pm Mass in C.I.M. and the
10am Mass in Sallins…
A note of thanks to those Ministers of the Word, Eucharistic Ministers, collectors, those involved in providing music and singing at the 7.30pm Mass in Ballycane and the 10am Mass in Sallins. Your generous ministry over many years is deeply appreciated. I am hoping you will remain actively involved and perhaps be willing to share your ministry at an alternative Mass in the parish. We will be in contact with you over the coming weeks to explore the possibilities afforded by your time and personal availability.
